Senior Platform Engineer – AI Infrastructure

About the role

HelloPrint is rebuilding its entire platform from the ground up, delivering new front‑end, pricing, content and product engines at unprecedented speed. As a Senior Platform Engineer you will own the reliability, cost and AI runtime of this high‑velocity ecosystem, ensuring product teams can ship fast without breaking things.

Key responsibilities

• Define, track and enforce SLOs, SLIs and error‑budget policies for core services such as checkout, payments and catalog pipelines.
• Expand distributed observability using Sentry, Google Cloud Monitoring and automated diagnostic tooling across microservices, Laravel Horizon workers and GCP infrastructure.
• Partner with product teams to evolve CI/CD pipelines with canary releases, automated SLO‑driven rollbacks and health gates in GitHub Actions.
• Architect, monitor and scale AI runtime infrastructure, managing model costs, latency, rate limits and provider availability.
• Drive FinOps practices to optimise Google Cloud compute and storage footprints and enforce budget guardrails.
• Lead on‑call incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems and turn root‑causes into automated tests and guardrails.
• Plan capacity, perform automated load testing and validate disaster‑recovery procedures against RTO/RPO targets.
• Maintain declarative infrastructure as code with Terraform and Google Cloud Run, ensuring least‑privilege IAM and secret management.

Required profile

• Proven production SRE or platform engineering experience with high‑traffic distributed systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across Linux, containers, relational/NoSQL databases and Redis queues.
• Extensive hands‑on experience with GCP, Google Cloud Run and Terraform automation.
• FinOps mindset with a track record of monitoring and optimising cloud and AI runtime costs.
• Experience configuring Sentry and Google Cloud Monitoring for SLI tracking and canary gates.
• Proficiency in Python or TypeScript/JavaScript for building platform tooling, plus familiarity with modern PHP/Laravel.
• Knowledge of operationalising LLM integrations, embeddings or rate‑limited external APIs.
• Pragmatic engineering attitude focused on durable guardrails and automation over manual work.
