Senior Product Manager - Developer Experience

About the role

The Internal Developer Platform (IDP) cluster aims to create standardized, scalable, and delightful experiences across the software development life cycle so Adyen engineers can deliver value more efficiently. As a Senior Product Manager within the IDP cluster, you will lead a key stream of platform evolution, moving the organization from fragmented, tribal‑knowledge flows to a cohesive, automated ecosystem that reduces cognitive load and scales globally.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize the SDLC by reducing CI flakiness and improving build insights to enable automated “golden paths”.
• Drive product maturity by assessing toolset maturity, executing deprecations, and defining clear adoption paths.
• Build technical context by partnering with IDP engineering to roll out AGENTS.md standards, internal RAG pipelines, and Model Context Protocol servers for GitLab and Jira.
• Foster developer autonomy by creating “LEGO‑block” abstractions that let teams own pipelines and releases while maintaining secure, compliant guardrails.
• Validate ROI and manage vendors through data‑driven feedback loops tracking adoption and measuring improvements against DXI, change‑failure rate, and developer velocity.

Required profile

• 10+ years of product experience, preferably in platform engineering, developer experience, or AI‑enabled technical products.
• Strong technical credibility, able to discuss system architecture, CI/CD constraints, and governance versus autonomy with engineers.
• Proven change‑management expertise, influencing developer habits and driving adoption in opinionated technical environments.
• Data‑driven mindset, translating developer feedback and usage data into clear impact metrics.
• Ability to thrive in ambiguity, executing quickly with incomplete information and adapting to new insights.
