Software Engineer - Document Intelligence

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join the Document Intelligence team at DataSnipper. In this hands‑on role you will build and maintain ingestion, processing and extraction pipelines, as well as the platform services that expose them. You will work closely with product, agent and engineering teams to deliver production‑ready, high‑quality solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain components of the document intelligence platform that ensure accuracy, speed and reliability.
• Build and operate cloud document store and platform APIs that provide reusable document intelligence across products.
• Integrate with AI service providers and develop AI‑ and ML‑powered extraction capabilities.
• Apply design principles for large‑scale document processing, conduct code reviews and enforce quality standards.
• Collaborate with product partners to clarify requirements, surface dependencies and promote documentation and knowledge sharing.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of software engineering experience with strong proficiency in C# and/or Python.
• Experience delivering backend services in production on Azure or another cloud platform.
• Background in distributed or data‑intensive systems and AI‑assisted engineering.
• Proven ability to write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests and a quality‑first mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with willingness to contribute across the stack.
