Front Office Employee – Part‑time Hotel Receptionist

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and organised Front Office Employee to be the welcoming face of our hotel in Amsterdam. Working 3‑4 days a week, you will manage reservations, greet guests, and ensure every stay feels personal and comfortable.

Key responsibilities

• Handle guest reservations and check‑ins/check‑outs efficiently.
• Welcome guests with a warm smile and provide information about the hotel and local attractions.
• Answer guest enquiries, including quirky requests, while maintaining service standards.
• Perform administrative duties such as phone handling, email correspondence, and record keeping.
• Collaborate with other hotel departments to ensure smooth daily operations.

Required profile

• Looking for a fun part‑time role (3‑4 days per week) with flexible availability, including holidays and weekends.
• Strong hospitality instinct and a natural feel for guest needs.
• Preferably experience in international hotels or a similar front‑office role.
• Fluent English; Dutch is a plus.
• Resides in or near Amsterdam.
• Team player who can also work independently.
• Knowledge of the Mews reservation system is a plus.

What we offer

• Salary in line with the collective labour agreement for hospitality (reference scale 4).
• Travel allowance based on distance from home to work (minimum 15 km).
