Junior Freight Forwarder – Road Operations

About the role

As a Junior Freight Forwarder on the Road team at DSV in Ede, you will start your career in international logistics by handling road shipments from start to finish. You will work closely with experienced colleagues, customers, hauliers and DSV locations abroad, gaining hands‑on experience in the freight forwarding profession.

Key responsibilities

• Identify the most suitable transport solution for international road shipments, considering routes, rates, capacity, deadlines and country‑specific regulations.
• Communicate daily with customers, hauliers, partners and DSV colleagues abroad to monitor shipments and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Respond quickly to changes in plans, maintaining an overview and finding effective solutions under pressure.

Required profile

• Secondary vocational or higher professional education with strong analytical and organisational skills.
• Motivation to learn the freight forwarding profession and develop a career in logistics.
• Curiosity about international transport regulations and a willingness to work in a fast‑paced environment.
