S&S System Engineer

About the role

Keep our tech running smoothly – so our radars stay sharp and protect what matters most. As our S&S Systems Engineer, you ensure smooth systems functionality and provide technical solutions for customer inquiries.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee database, system and server performance remotely, track uptime and performance metrics, and manage updates for functionality and security.
• Provide daily and on‑call technical support, focusing on software‑hardware integration to diagnose and resolve customer issues remotely.
• Perform first‑line data analysis to uncover trends, share feedback with Product and R&D teams, and support internal deployments.
• Use monitoring tools to detect vulnerabilities early, conduct regular inspections, and participate in product performance reviews with customers.
• Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, repairs and equipment performance to drive long‑term improvements.

Required profile

• BA or HBO degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering or related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in IT support roles.
• Strong experience with monitoring tools, database management systems and hardware configuration.
• Deep knowledge of Linux and Ubuntu operating systems.
• Solid understanding of networking protocols such as VPNs and scripting languages.
• Natural affinity with radar systems and their operation.
• Fluent English (basic Dutch is a plus), excellent analytical and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for occasional client visits.
