Full Stack Engineer (Java & React) – Contractor

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer to join a strategic FinTech programme for a major client. The role is primarily backend‑focused, building large‑scale, customer‑facing applications with Java, Spring Boot and microservices, while also offering opportunities to work on the frontend using React.js.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Java‑based microservices that support 10,000+ users.
• Collaborate with product teams to deliver scalable, customer‑facing applications.
• For full‑stack opportunities, contribute to React.js front‑end features and ensure seamless integration with backend services.

Required profile

• 3+ years of commercial software engineering experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• Proven experience building microservices and working with SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Demonstrated impact on large‑scale applications, preferably in a FinTech or financial services context.
