Business Development Manager - Energy Trading & Optimization

About the role

This is a chance to build something from the ground up at the intersection of energy markets, cutting‑edge optimization technology and global ambitions. You will be the first Business Development Manager focused on our Energy Trading & Optimization product, shaping the go‑to‑market strategy and working closely with the Head of Energy Trading, analysts and data scientists.

Key responsibilities

• Define and sharpen Ampowr’s commercial proposition for the energy trading and optimization software.
• Own the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing new business.
• Develop pitch materials, presentations and thought‑leadership to represent Ampowr in the market.
• Scale the business from the Netherlands into new European markets, adapting to local regulations and stakeholder dynamics.

Required profile

• 5–10 years of experience in the energy industry or equivalent business‑development background.
• Fluent in spoken and written Dutch.
• Valid B‑driving licence.
• Deep knowledge of energy markets, flexibility, balancing markets and/or ancillary services.
• Comfortable analysing simulation results and business cases, and staying up‑to‑date with market, technical and regulatory developments.
