Creative Lead – Social & UGC

About the role

Creative Milkshake, a performance‑creative agency that produces short‑form ads for DTC brands, is looking for a Creative Lead (Social & UGC) to safeguard the quality of its output. Based in Amsterdam and working within a +/-3 hour CET time‑zone window, you will be the final creative eye before content reaches clients, helping the studio scale from UGC‑first to elevated branded formats.

Key responsibilities

• Review storyboards, raw footage and final edits, acting as the quality gate and providing precise, actionable feedback.
• Build and maintain an ad example library, creative checklists and “what good looks like” guides for the team.
• Identify recurring creative patterns, such as ineffective hooks or storyboard mistakes, and address them at the root.
• Provide hands‑on direction during post‑production, including pacing, cut points, text overlays and sound design.
• Support production by flagging un‑shootable storyboards and supplying creative context for shoots.
• Maintain a current relationship with TikTok, Meta and emerging short‑form platforms, curating inspiration feeds and distinguishing lasting formats from fleeting trends.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of hands‑on experience in video production, editing, content creation or a similar creative role at a social‑first agency or DTC brand.
• Deep, current feel for short‑form social content and the ability to articulate why a hook works.
• Ability to interpret paid‑media performance data to inform creative decisions.
• High EQ and the capacity to give specific, timestamped feedback without damaging confidence.
• Fluent English and comfortable presenting creative rationale to clients.

Required skills
