Lounge Manager

About the role

Mandarin Oriental Conservatorium is looking for a Lounge Manager to lead its lounge outlet. Reporting to the RB&E Manager, you will be responsible for the overall leadership, daily operation and performance of the outlet, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, driving financial performance and leading a high-performing team aligned with Mandarin Oriental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, inspire and manage the lounge teams to deliver intuitive, refined and personalised service.
• Oversee daily operations, keeping service flow and efficiency smooth.
• Maintain the highest standards of food, beverage and service quality.
• Manage staffing levels, scheduling and productivity to meet operational needs and financial targets.
• Drive revenue, profitability and cost control, including labour management and inventory control.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene and food safety regulations.
• Handle guest feedback professionally and resolve issues promptly.
• Collaborate with kitchen and support teams on seamless guest experiences.
• Lead training, coaching and development, and run team briefings, performance reviews and feedback sessions.
• Support strategic initiatives, promotions, special events and brand-driven experiences.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience as an outlet manager in a luxury hotel or high-end standalone restaurant.
• Proven leadership skills to motivate, coach and develop diverse teams.
• Strong operational knowledge of food and beverage service.
• Solid financial acumen, including budgeting, cost control and revenue management.
• Excellent guest-centric mindset, problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent written and spoken English; Dutch is a plus.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and public holidays.
