Manufacturing IT & Automation Project Lead

About the role

Lead the delivery of IT and automation projects across the Boxmeer and De Bilt manufacturing sites, ensuring seamless data flow and efficient operations. You will standardise project management practices and support project managers within the area teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive standardisation of project management methodologies based on global standards.
• Plan, schedule and execute manufacturing IT/automation projects with clear milestones, resources and deliverables.
• Provide regular status updates to stakeholders and manage risks and issues.
• Coordinate internal teams (IT, Operations, Engineering, Quality) and external vendors for system integration.
• Offer technical guidance on PLCs, SCADAs, historians, MES systems and supporting IT applications.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Minimum 2 years experience in pharma and at least 5 years with manufacturing IT/automation systems.
• At least 5 years proven project‑management experience for technical projects.
• Understanding of GxP regulated environment and validation requirements.
• Strong communication skills in English (Dutch preferred).
