Operations Specialist (Level I-III) – Hoofddorp

About the role

Airspace is a tech‑enabled freight forwarder that handles mission‑critical shipments such as organs, aircraft parts and semiconductors. As an Operations Specialist you will set up new time‑sensitive orders, keep customers informed of any deviations, and track each shipment from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Set up new orders following standard work practices and client‑specific SOPs, ensuring all milestones are completed accurately and on time.
• Provide proactive customer updates on delays, issues and alternative solutions through clear verbal and written communication.
• Route shipments, book and manage airway bills, and source driver coverage for any segment of an order.
• Handle inbound and outbound communications (email, phone, text) with timely acknowledgment and appropriate escalation.
• Operate the Airspace platform, navigate airline booking and tracking sites, and maintain performance metrics such as phone availability.
