PCB Designer (Electronics Hardware Designer)

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting a PCB designer on behalf of a client based in the Netherlands. The client designs and produces high-tech machines and machine modules and is expanding its business. The electronics hardware designer plays a central role in the electronics department, working with the electronics architect and software, mechatronics and mechanics designers, and is the first point of contact for questions on design, testing and integration.

Key responsibilities

• Schematic design, documentation and entry
• Key component selection, including FPGA
• PCB layout and routing
• Carry out signal integrity simulations
• Component management
• Testing and debugging of boards
• Design for testability (DFT)
• Implement and test high-speed communication links

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering
• At least 5 years of experience in PCB/PCA design
• Good time management, prioritisation, teamwork, analytical and proactive attitude
• Good communication skills, proficient in English and preferably in Dutch
• Ambition for personal development in the technology field; mechatronics experience is a plus

Required skills

• Mentor Graphics Designer and Layout or comparable tools
• Digital and/or analog electronics
• Basic knowledge of board manufacturing flows
