Senior Design Engineer - Machine Conditioning

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting a Senior Design Engineer for a client in the Netherlands, a Dutch agency that recruits and relocates technical specialists for companies such as ASML, VDL, DAF Trucks and Siemens. The role sits in the IDME (Industrial Design and Mechanical Engineering) team and involves designing and leading the development of machine conditioning systems in the semiconductor industry.

Key responsibilities

• Design and lead the development of machine conditioning systems for gas, liquid and vacuum applications.
• Lead a team of designers working on these systems.
• Work in project teams through the concept phase, detailed design and verification phases.
• Translate the architecture into a 3D design that meets stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical engineers and machine module owners.
• Present design concepts to stakeholders and agree on modifications.
• Ensure design quality and stick to project timelines.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
• Knowledge of other fields such as software and mechanical engineering.
• At least 3 years of experience as a lead engineer.
• Ability to lead a team of up to 10 engineers in their technical specialism.
• Skilled in dealing with customers and colleagues.

Required skills

• Experience with 3D CAD systems.
• NX (preference stated).
