Senior Design Engineer - Digital Electronics

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting on behalf of a client in the Netherlands, a Dutch agency that recruits and relocates technical specialists for companies such as ASML, VDL, DAF Trucks and Siemens. The client is an international electronics manufacturer serving OEMs. As a Senior Design Engineer you join a multidisciplinary team in an international setting and help set up the complete (sub-)system, focusing on designing, implementing and verifying complex digital circuits.

Key responsibilities

• Design, simulate, implement and verify digital circuits together with mechanical and embedded software teams
• Act as the technical point of contact for customer engineers in your field
• Create designs that meet EMC, testability, reliability and producibility requirements
• Specify circuits, document them and define the required tests
• Make planning estimates and report technical progress to the project manager
• Manage some junior engineers in their day-to-day work

Required profile

• HBO or WO degree in Electronics
• More than 10 years of experience as a digital circuit designer in product development
• Quality-driven, proactive and committed to the best technical solution
• Good oral and written communication skills in English for technical documentation

Required skills

• Digital circuit design tools, including simulation for high-speed interfaces (HyperLynx)
• Circuit design with controllers, processors, CPLDs and FPGAs
• Interfaces such as RS485, I2C, SPI, USB, CAN and Ethernet
• Proficiency with measurement equipment
• Basic knowledge of software and mechatronics
