Private Equity Senior Associate – Amsterdam

About the role

Our client, a leading European private‑equity firm, is expanding its Amsterdam investment team. The Senior Associate will work across the full investment lifecycle, supporting deal execution, portfolio value creation, and origination in the DACH and Benelux markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead core workstreams on live transactions, including commercial, financial and operational analysis, valuation, financial modelling and due‑diligence coordination.
• Develop investment cases for German‑speaking markets by synthesising insights from management meetings, market research and advisor input.
• Prepare investment committee materials and build conviction around asset quality and value‑creation potential.
• Partner with portfolio‑company leadership on transformation initiatives, operational improvement and strategic projects; build performance dashboards and track KPIs.
• Support origination across the DACH region through market mapping, subsector analysis and network building with advisors, founders and industry executives.
• Collaborate with senior team members, operating professionals and external advisors to ensure seamless communication throughout the investment lifecycle.

Required profile

• 4–6 years of experience in investment banking, consulting, private equity or a similarly transaction‑driven environment.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to lead due‑diligence, valuation and financial‑modelling modules.
• Exposure to operational value‑creation or transformation projects is a plus.
• Native Dutch speaker with fluency in English and comfort operating across European markets.
