Project Assistant AVRR/PCLU

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Project Assistant to support its Assisted Voluntary Return and Reintegration (AVRR) programme in the Netherlands. Working under the supervision of the Senior AVRR Project Assistant, you will help ensure smooth administrative and financial operations for voluntary return projects.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Project Assistant with day‑to‑day administrative tasks related to AVRR activities.
• Support financial processes, including budgeting, expense tracking, and reporting.
• Coordinate documentation and travel assistance for migrants returning voluntarily.
• Liaise with IOM units, governmental partners, and other stakeholders to facilitate project implementation.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to post‑arrival reintegration monitoring.

Required profile

• School diploma with at least four years relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law, or a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a multicultural, inter‑agency environment.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
