Senior Accounting Employee – Road & Marine Finance

About the role

Join FincoEnergies as a Senior Accounting Employee in the Road & Marine division, supporting the financial administration of multiple entities while contributing to the energy transition. You will ensure accurate, timely reporting and take part in daily operations as well as month‑end and year‑end closing activities.

Key responsibilities

• Process purchase, sales and bank transactions, validate and post invoices to the correct cost centres.
• Handle accounts receivable and payable, produce overdue reports and follow‑up with suppliers.
• Contribute to month‑ and year‑end closing, including accruals, balance‑sheet preparation and VAT filings.
• Coordinate with commercial back‑office and finance teams across the division and the wider FincoEnergies group.
• Perform reconciliations and checks in the accounting system to guarantee complete and timely financial reporting.

Required profile

• Higher professional education (HBO) or equivalent work level.
• 5+ years of experience in a similar accounting role.
• Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken.
• Result‑driven, proactive and accurate mindset.
• Experience in trading organisations, especially fuels or energy, is a strong plus.

Required skills

• Microsoft Excel (including PivotTables and VLOOKUP)
• ERP systems – Microsoft Business Central (experience with Blue10 is a plus)
• VAT return preparation and month‑end closing activities
