Senior Gameplay Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Gameplay Engineer to shape memorable gameplay experiences on our AAA titles. Working closely with the Lead Gameplay Engineer, Technical Directors and Designers, you will take concepts from design through to high‑quality implementation.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and own core gameplay mechanics, controls and systems, collaborating with designers to prototype and integrate features.
• Write clean, robust, and efficient C++ code following best practices and coding standards.
• Debug, profile and optimise gameplay systems to maintain stability, performance and scalability.
• Contribute to tools and workflow improvements that boost team productivity.
• Review code, mentor mid‑level Gameplay Engineers and participate in sprint planning and production reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Senior Gameplay Engineer or in a similar senior technical role.
• Strong proficiency in C++ with both object‑oriented and data‑oriented programming experience.
• Hands‑on experience owning a feature on a shipped title.
• Deep knowledge of game engines such as Unreal Engine or Unity.
• Solid understanding of 3D mathematics and physics.
• Experience with source‑control systems and collaborative development.
