Senior IoT Engineer

About the role

Sensorfact is Europe’s leading smart monitoring platform, helping manufacturers reduce energy waste and carbon emissions. As a Senior IoT Engineer you will design and deliver the next generation of embedded IoT solutions that connect industrial hardware to the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain embedded software on Debian‑based gateways that collect sensor data.
• Design, build, and improve tools for device fulfillment and onboarding.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define end‑to‑end IoT architectures and ensure high‑quality data for analytics.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor peers, and participate in brainstorming sessions to solve scalability challenges such as VPN implementation and data communication optimization.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience building software for industrial IoT products.
• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.
• Strong knowledge of the embedded Linux boot chain (U‑Boot, kernel, device tree) and experience customizing them for custom hardware.
• Hands‑on experience creating and maintaining Yocto/Buildroot images and integrating kernel and userspace components.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑changing, product‑driven environment and communicate effectively with diverse teams.
