System Engineer – Public Cloud Scalability

About the role

Leaseweb is looking for a System Engineer to join its Public Cloud Scalability team. You will be responsible for managing and evolving the public‑cloud infrastructure, ensuring it remains reliable, scalable and high‑performing.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain public‑cloud infrastructure, including Linux systems, networking components and the virtualization layer.
• Design and implement scalable, high‑performance cloud architectures.
• Lead technical discussions, convince peers and stakeholders of optimal solutions.
• Collaborate closely with a team of DevOps engineers in a scrum environment.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a system engineer or in a comparable role.
• Ability to take technical leadership and influence decisions.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with peers and stakeholders.
• Comfortable working in a remote‑first, hybrid setting.
