Technical Market Research Intern – Solar Array

About the role

Airbus Netherlands is seeking a proactive Technical Market Research Intern to support its Solar Array domain. You will help map the current and future satellite solar power market, providing insights that shape the development of Sparkwing solar arrays.

Key responsibilities

• Research public sources to create an overview of the solar array market and emerging technologies.
• Gather and analyse internal Airbus Netherlands knowledge on solar arrays.
• Build databases of historic and current solar array usage and of manufacturers/solutions.
• Develop a solid understanding of market trends and their impact on Airbus products.
• Collaborate with engineering and sales teams to align market insights with product strategy.
• Prepare a presentation and written report summarising findings and recommendations.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with data‑protection policies.

Required profile

• Current Bachelor or Master student in Aerospace Engineering, Technical Management, Business or a related field.
• Proactive, curious attitude with a passion for innovation in space technologies.
• Strong organisational and data‑categorisation abilities.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Residency in the Netherlands and willingness to undergo background screening.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Obsidian or similar knowledge‑management tools.
• Familiarity with data‑analysis software or tools.
