Electro-Technical Officer – Container Vessel (Methanol Engine)

About the role

Our client is seeking an Electro‑Technical Officer (ETO) to join newly‑built container vessels equipped with eco‑friendly methanol‑driven engines. The position involves a 3 ± 1 month rotation with the possibility of a permanent schedule, based out of Rotterdam.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and troubleshoot all electrical and electronic systems on board.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations, including STCW and IGF code standards.
• Monitor and support the methanol engine’s electrical infrastructure.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation for the ship’s management.

Required profile

• Valid STCW certification.
• Current medical certificate.
• Advanced knowledge of the IGF code.
• Proficient command of English.
