Junior/Middle Java Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Junior/Middle Java Developer to join our engineering team in Amsterdam. You will work on reliable, scalable backend solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and microservices while collaborating with the Engineering Manager and Product Owner.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and maintain backend services and customer‑facing applications using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and maintain microservices, work with SQL and NoSQL databases, and apply SOLID and DRY principles.
• Contribute to deployment, monitoring, and production support, including troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and improve code quality and system reliability.

Required profile

• 1–3 years of software development experience with Java.
• Practical knowledge of Spring Boot and microservices architecture.
• Understanding of SQL and/or NoSQL databases.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
