Native Android Engineer – Voice‑Powered Healthcare App

About the role

Attendi enables healthcare professionals to record voice notes, saving time and improving patient care. As a Native Android Engineer you will lead the development and scaling of Attendi’s voice‑powered Android app, a notepad for capturing medical data at the point of care.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Attendi’s native Android application.
• Maintain the open‑source Android microphone SDK (attendi‑android).
• Build high‑quality voice recording, transcription, and medical documentation flows for real healthcare workflows.
• Collaborate with backend, frontend, UX, product and other mobile engineers to deliver a cohesive user experience.
• Own Android architecture, testing, CI/CD pipelines, Play Store releases, phased rollouts, crash reporting and monitoring.
• Shape Android‑specific UX decisions using Material Design and platform conventions.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong experience building native Android apps with Kotlin.
• Production experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Deep understanding of Android lifecycle, permissions, foreground services and background execution limits.
• Proficiency with Kotlin coroutines and reactive programming using Flow.
• Ability to take end‑to‑end ownership of Android features.
