Science Communications Manager

About the role

QuantWare is seeking a Science Communications Manager to own how the company explains its breakthrough quantum technology to the world. You will translate complex scientific concepts into clear, accurate narratives for physicists, investors, analysts, press and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Co‑write and edit peer‑reviewed papers and preprints with R&D teams.
• Lead technical writing for competitive grant proposals.
• Create whitepapers, explainer videos, blog posts, website copy and conference material.
• Develop storylines with engineering leads and support the VP Marketing in narrative building.
• Prepare technical briefings for investor calls, media appearances and CEO keynotes.
• Own the language, framing and factual defensibility of all public‑facing communication.

Required profile

• Master’s in Physics, Engineering or related field with 3+ years in technical/science communications, or PhD with 2+ years experience.
• Excellent writing skills; ability to simplify complex material without loss of accuracy.
• Strong sense of audience needs – physicist, investor or journalist.
• Collaborative mindset; comfortable working with R&D, product, management and marketing teams.
• Adaptable to ambiguity, fast iteration, embargoed material and tight deadlines.
• Fluent, publication‑quality written English (Dutch not required).
