Senior Front End Engineer - Diagnostics Applications

About the role

Cross Border Talents is recruiting a Senior Front End Engineer for a client in the Netherlands, a global organization with 70 offices across 16 countries and headquarters in Veldhoven, working in the semiconductor industry. You will join an Agile Scrum team that designs, implements, tests and maintains diagnostics applications, in a fast-paced, agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the definition of detailed design for UI/front-end building blocks defined in the product backlog, together with software architects and UX engineers.
• Create and collaborate on proofs of concept to evaluate new technologies or design directions.
• Write code that meets internal standards for style, maintainability and best practices in large-scale web environments.
• Maintain and promote those standards through code review and coaching of other team members.
• Work closely with the Product Owner and stakeholders to deliver high-quality user interfaces.
• Promote the use of common components to speed up development and ensure consistency.
• Ensure software complies with licensing obligations, is well tested, has minimal technical debt, fits CI/CD pipelines and is internally consistent.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience as a front-end web developer.
• Proven experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or Angular.
• Experience with unit testing and with Agile and Scrum.
• Fluent English.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of semantic HTML, CSS and core JavaScript, and of core web and browser concepts.
• Understanding of data visualization libraries is a plus.
