Senior Software Engineer (Financial Statement Suite)

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join the Financial Statement Suite (FSS) team at DataSnipper. The team builds a web‑based, AI‑powered experience that automates and checks financial statements for auditors worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build production APIs and services in Python and C# that power financial statement review workflows.
• Develop AI‑powered agents that integrate LLMs and document‑understanding pipelines to automate preparation and checking of statements.
• Contribute to the React front‑end where auditors review, correct and approve results.
• Implement security controls following OWASP and OWASP GenAI guidance and integrate with Azure AI services.
• Architect services using established design principles, write robust production code with comprehensive unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests.
• Raise the engineering bar through code reviews, mentorship and best‑practice establishment.
• Diagnose complex issues across services, participate in on‑call rotation and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to shape solutions and break down epics.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience building applications with a modern backend stack.
• Strong experience with object‑oriented languages; Python preferred.
• Hands‑on experience with TypeScript and React.
• Proven ability to build, deploy and maintain APIs on Azure.
• Solid fundamentals in software architecture, system design and testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English and an entrepreneurial mindset.
