Software Manager

About the role

QuantWare is building world‑leading quantum processors and needs a Software Manager to own the calibration software roadmap and lead a multidisciplinary team of senior software engineers and quantum device specialists.

Key responsibilities

• Own and project‑manage the calibration software development roadmap, set engineering milestones and report progress.
• Recruit, mentor and grow a high‑performing team, establishing production‑grade engineering practices and testing frameworks.
• Define long‑term software architecture, including package structure and clean hardware abstraction layers.
• Drive technical collaboration and data hand‑offs with third‑party ecosystem partners.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional software leadership experience delivering production‑grade software, preferably interfacing with hardware or scientific systems.
• Proven track record in engineering management, hiring and retaining senior engineers in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent cross‑functional communication and ability to work with scientific domain experts.
• Experience with superconducting quantum computing hardware is a plus.

Required skills

• Deep expertise in the Python ecosystem.
• Strong knowledge of modern software architecture principles, modular package design and third‑party interfacing.
