Technical Designer

About the role

EMS-Tech is seeking a Technical Designer to join its international project team. You will translate conceptual designs into precise 2D and 3D layouts and detailed drawings that meet strict project specifications, supporting the engineering vision from concept to final product.

Key responsibilities

• Produce 2D and 3D arrangement drawings according to EMS‑Tech standards and design specifications.
• Create sales‑related drawings and designs based on existing or new concepts to satisfy customer needs.
• Prepare, check, and verify drawing details for accuracy.
• Collaborate with design teams across EMS‑Tech offices and communicate with suppliers and contractors.
• Support Project Managers, Project Engineers, and Sales groups throughout project phases.

Required profile

• MBO or HBO diploma (minimum MBO‑3/4) in mechanical design or engineering.
• Experience in bulk material handling or large‑machine design is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
• Valid passport and ability to travel internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD 2‑D and 3‑D software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks preferred).
• Knowledge of technical norms, standards, and documentation.
• Experience with estimating, steel construction, and calculating steel weights is an asset.
