Web Development Intern – AI & Robotics Projects

About the role

The United Nations Interregional Crime and Justice Research Institute (UNICRI) is seeking a Web Development Intern to support its Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. The role is based in The Hague and combines onsite work with remote tasks over an initial two‑month period, extendable to six months.

Key responsibilities

• Export all content from an existing Drupal website.
• Assist with the configuration and maintenance of a WordPress website.
• Edit, update, import and upload text, documents, images and videos to ensure a visually appealing presentation.
• Evaluate technical elements of the site and propose improvements.
• Monitor trends, technological innovations and relevant news sources.
• Communicate project status, issues and risks to the project team.
• Participate in defining technical requirements and planning for Centre projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or recently completed a graduate programme (second university degree).
• Ability to work full‑time (35 hours/week) in a hybrid setting.
• Own computer and reliable internet connection for remote work.
• Strong interest in web development, AI and robotics.

Required skills

• Experience with Drupal content export.
• Familiarity with WordPress configuration and content management.
