Strategic Growth Manager

About the role

Adyen is looking for a proactive, strategic, and result‑driven individual to join its Strategic Growth team. The role focuses on retaining and expanding share‑of‑wallet and revenue within the existing strategic merchant base, working closely with Account Management worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Drive high‑impact commercial deals across the global merchant base, handling the full sales cycle from strategy and pitching to negotiation and closing, and expand share‑of‑wallet through new channels, regions, business lines and products.
• Lead strategic, cross‑functional projects such as new product launches, market or vertical entry initiatives, managing the commercial execution to ensure meaningful outcomes aligned with Adyen’s long‑term growth objectives.

Required profile

• 6‑8 years of experience in business development, account management or sales, preferably with a customer‑facing or merchant focus; payments or fintech background a plus.
• Strong commercial and strategic mindset with proven ability to craft long‑term strategies and negotiate complex contracts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and C‑level executives.
• Analytical problem‑solver who can identify opportunities, overcome commercial roadblocks and drive results in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative team player who thrives on cross‑functional work and knowledge sharing.
• Result‑oriented with a track record of prioritising and executing high‑impact opportunities.
