Senior Java Engineer – Financial Products

About the role

Adyen is a global payments and financial technology platform serving companies such as Facebook, Uber, H&M and Microsoft. The Financial Products team builds banking, issuing, FX and capital solutions on top of the core payments processing. As a Senior Java Engineer you will help shape and deliver these high‑scale services.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, test and launch complex technical projects from requirements to production.
• Write production‑ready Java code that runs at scale, focusing on performance and quality.
• Identify and improve platform components to increase robustness and scalability.
• Build APIs, web services, webhooks and tooling following best engineering practices.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams across time zones to deliver features quickly.

Required profile

• 10+ years of software development experience in fast‑paced tech environments.
• Strong background in large‑scale distributed systems.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with data science, frontend and product partners.
• Fluent English communication skills.
