Well Engineer – Oil & Gas Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Well Engineer to join our team and contribute to international oil and gas projects. The role focuses on safety, technical quality, and innovative solutions for workover and plug & abandonment operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, engineer, and review well programmes for workover and plug & abandonment activities.
• Assess well conditions and advise on safe, efficient closure strategies.
• Develop well‑on‑paper scenarios and evaluate operational risks.
• Provide technical advice during unexpected operational situations.
• Participate in after‑action reviews and support continuous improvement.
• Research and recommend innovative products, technologies, and services.
• Support R&D teams in creating practical technical solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a Well Engineer, Well Supervisor, or similar role in the oil and gas industry.
• Strong safety mindset and ability to work in a technically demanding environment.
• Recognised well‑control certification.
