AI Engineer

About the role

Enjins, an AI systems company founded in 2018 and operating from Utrecht and Berlin, is hiring an AI Engineer in Utrecht. You will act as a hands-on engineer embedded in client teams, designing and deploying end-to-end AI/ML systems from proof-of-concept to production, with a focus on Climate Tech. The workplace is hybrid.

Key responsibilities

• Own a feature or deployment pipeline on client projects, taking end-to-end responsibility.
• Promote MLOps/LLMOps best practices such as feature stores, model monitoring and pipeline orchestration.
• Work with Data Scientists and Software Engineers to build data pipelines and model APIs.
• Translate technical findings into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related technical or quantitative field.
• Fluent English and eligibility to work in the Netherlands; Dutch is not required.
• Curious, growth-minded and comfortable engaging with clients, including executives.

Required skills

• Solid experience with Python, SQL and Git; other languages and frameworks are a plus.
• At least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure or GCP) and its data engineering components.
• Ability to bring AI/ML models or LLMs into production.
• Interest in LLM-based and agentic architectures (e.g. RAG, tool-use, multi-agent systems).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, ETL/ELT tools and the basics of LLMOps/MLOps.
