Engineering Manager – Regulatory Reporting Data

About the role

Adyen’s Regulatory Reporting group builds the data pipelines, models, controls and reporting products that enable compliance with tax, prudential and statistical regimes. As an Engineering Manager you will lead a cross‑functional team to deliver accurate, reliable, timely, scalable and auditable reporting solutions, collaborating closely with Compliance, Legal, Finance and product development teams.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the team toward measurable business outcomes, reducing operational friction in the reporting cycle.
• Manage stakeholder expectations across the organization to align regulatory initiatives with Adyen’s vision.
• Launch features quickly, iterate based on feedback while meeting strict regulatory deadlines.
• Partner with product and compliance peers to prioritize road‑maps, balancing technical debt, regulatory change and new capabilities.
• Mentor and coach engineers, lead hiring and headcount planning.
• Provide architectural direction for large‑scale data and software projects, ensuring scalability, reliability, security and auditability.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams and 5+ years of hands‑on software or data engineering.
• Proven ownership of end‑to‑end delivery with hard deadlines and real‑world impact.
• Entrepreneurial self‑starter who thrives in fast‑paced environments.
• Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders such as Compliance, Legal and Finance.
• Curiosity for automation and data infrastructure improvements in the payments industry.
